"If you're not rocking where you're at now, don't bother asking God for more." This was a quote from Chris Hill a speaker that I heard at the Youth Pastors Summit this week and I thought how cool that is. So many times we want to look right past where God has put us and we want Him to give us the grand. For youth pastors this is so true so much of the time. We want the huge numbers, the big budget, a number one book or a full calendar of speaking engagements but we are running a mediocre group of eighteen and doing a pretty good job of running them into the ground. We all need to learn to be a little more satisfied with where we are and build a desire to be the best at where we are and then let God bring us the blessing from it. As Jay Strack says "if the grass is greener, it means the sewer runs under it." Rock where you are and see what God brings your way next.
