A Late Valentine

By Todd
As I write this the subject of this blog is unknowingly asleep 4 feet from me on the couch. Sitting here in the quiet of the night I am reminded of 2 words that she spoke to me over fourteen years ago. Those two words... "I know." Those are the two words that she said to me the night that I told her that God had called me to ministry. On the verge of getting married, ready to start a new life together, her sense of understanding of our upcoming life was incredible. Ever sense that day she has been the greatest companion a pastor could ask for, honest (sometimes to my dismay for some of those ideas were brilliant), supportive, complimentary. She has been all that I could ask for and more. I would like to say to her here and now thank you and I love you. All of the nights that I have come home and said "I'm tired" she encouraged me to rest. All of the nights I have come home and said "no one is getting it" she has reminded me of changed lives. All of the times I have said "can we do that?" she has said "Oh yea and they will never forget it." It has been an amazing fourteen years of ministry, time together, memories and family. None of it is possible without you and me together so thanks for being there, thanks for being a part and thanks for being my wife.

"A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life."
-Proverbs 31
